The snacks, however, have this bad reputation of being unhealthy which is indeed true to some extent. This is why finding healthy snacks becomes a strenuous task. But you need not worry! We’ve done the work for you and have compiled a crunchy list of healthy snacks saving you all the trouble. The smart choice of snacks will keep you away from consuming too many calories and consequently gaining less weight.
So, let’s unravel the list of some healthy as well as interesting snacks to eat:
#1 – Banana and Vanilla Smoothie
The smoothie is made by perfectly blending together banana and vanilla. The smoothie helps in keeping you energized.
- 1 Cup Milk
- 1 sliced banana
- 2 Tablespoons of Vanilla Extract
Method – Put all above mentioned ingredients in a blender. Blend them properly. Serve and enjoy the smoothie.
#2 – Grilled Pineapple with Cinnamon
By grilling a pineapple, its sweetness comes out. The grilled pineapple with savory cinnamon makes for an excellent afternoon snack.
- 1 Fresh pineapple
- 1 Tablespoon of ground cinnamon
- 2 Tablespoons of Brown sugar
Method – Cut the pineapple into thick rings and put them aside. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the cinnamon and the cocoa sugar. Sprinkle every side of every ring with the above blend. Flame broil these for 5 minutes on every side. Serve warm.
#3 – Dried Cranberries and Almonds
Almonds are loaded with vitamin E, protein and healthy snacks whereas dried cranberries have anti-oxidants in them which helps bladder function properly.
- 3 Cups Almonds
- 1 Tsp. Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 Tsp. Ground Clove
- 1/4 Cup Coconut Oil
- 2 Cups Dried Cranberries
- 1/2 Tsp. Nutmeg
- 1 Tbs. Maple Syrup
- 1/2 cup Coconut flakes (Unsweetened)
Method – Preheat the broiler to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Liquefy the coconut oil and maple syrup over medium warmth. Include the almonds, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and coconut pieces to the blend. Mix to consolidate. Spread the blend on a lubed treat sheet and prepare for 20 minutes. Exchange to a bowl and serve cool.
#4 – Stuffed Figs with Goat Cheese
- 4 Ripe Figs
- 1 & 1/2 Tbs. Honey
- 1 Tbs. fresh Rosemary (finely chopped)
- 1/2 Tbs. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/4 Cup Goat Cheese
Method – Preheat the broiler to 400 degrees F. Rub every fig with olive oil. Make a 3/4 crawl, X-molded cut in the highest point of each. Pry open its edges delicately and stuff every one with 1 teaspoon of goat cheese. Put them upright on a baking sheet and heat for 10 minutes. Shower honey on top and relish.
#5 – Greek Yogurt with Berries and Honey
- 1 Cup Plain Greek Yogurt
- 1/2 Cup Fresh Berries
- 1 Tablespoon of Honey
Method – Blend a serving of plain Greek yogurt with your most loved new berries. Include a shower of honey. Blend well and relish.
#6 – Apple with peanut Butter
- 1 Apple
- 1 Tablespoon of Butter
Method – Cut a fresh and new apple into slices. Serve it with a tablespoon or two of peanut butter spread on it.
#7 – Hot Plums with Cinnamon
- 6 Ripe Plums
- 1 Tbs. Light Brown Sugar
- 2 Tsp. Ground Cinnamon
- Peel of One Lemon
Method – Preheat the stove to 350 degrees F. Slice every plum down the middle and expel the pits. Put the plums, skin-side down, in a heating dish. Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon peel. Cook for 30 minutes and serve warm.
#8 – Oatmeal with fresh Berries
- 1 Cup of Oatmeal
- 1/2 Cup Berries
- 1 Tbs. Honey
- 1/4 Cup Almonds
Method – Cook your oats as you regularly would. Top it with crisp natural berries. Add honey and almonds.
#9 – Chocolate Covered Strawberries
- 16 Oz. Dark Chocolate
- 1 Pound of Fresh Strawberries
Method – Firstly melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler. Blend until it becomes smooth. Put a toothpick through the focal point of every strawberry. Holding every strawberry by the toothpick, plunge every one into the above blend. Flip around the strawberries and let them cool. They are ready to be relished.
#10 – Orange with Cinnamon
- 1 Orange
- 1 Pinch Brown Sugar
- 1 Pinch Cinnamon
Method – Just peel and cut an orange into rings. Sprinkle the rings with ground cinnamon and only a pinch of sugar.
